TIER TWO SUPPLIERS

OUR MATERIALS

We work with naturally sourced fibers for all our materials. It is very important for us that our fabrics are responsibly sourced and come from ethical and environmentally certified suppliers. While not all products have grades and regulations we are continually striving to work with suppliers who can provide transparency on their operations and chain of supply. We also source left over fabrics (dead stock) to use for limited runs and always composition test from an external third party.

ROYAL CASHMERE

OEKO-TEX®

While there is no official regulated standard or certifications for cashmere we ensure the cashmere used for all our knitwear is OEKO-TEX 100 standard meaning that it is free from any harmful toxins or chemicals.

SUPERFINE MERINO

RESPONSIBLE WOOL STANDARD

This year in 2021 we are making the transition to Responsibly Sourced Wool (RWS) which ensures we are using both ethically and environmentally sourced wool. We aim to be using RWS wool for all our custom made to order fabrics by 2022 Fall/Winter.

PREMIUM LEATHER

LEATHER WORKING GROUP

All the leather used for our handbag range comes from LWG gold certified tanneries. The LWG audit protocol is a tool to access the environmental performance of leather manufacturers. The LWG is focused on sustainable practices within the leather industry when it comes to chemical management, traceability, social responsibility and waste treatment. There are less than 600 members out of tens of thousands of tanneries world wide.

ETHICALLY SOURCED

RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARD

We use Responsible Down Standard (RDS) down fill in our coats which ensure that both the down and feathers have been sourced from animals that have not been subjected to any unnecessary harm. It is very important to us that any animal derived products are ethically certified from suppliers who are using the best animal welfare practices.

ORGANIC cotton

BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE

We like to minimize the use of cotton due to its water usage. However, when we do we ensure that it is organic and from a supplier that belongs to the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). The BCI is focused on sustainable production of cotton and focuses on environmental, social and economic factors.  Our Cotton comes from a farm from the Henan province in China.

environmentally focused

GLOBAL RECYCLING STANDARD

When working with natural fiber products it is common that left over scraps are recycled into new fabrics. So it is very important that our suppliers are part of the GRS standard which sets requirements for third party certification on recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.
